Apart from CSK, there will also be a lot of interest from Mumbai Indians, who will be playing under their new skipper. Hardik Pandya.

Ahead of the IPL, the organizers released a hilarious ad, in which Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan can be seen trolling Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Shreyas Iyersaying, “10 Rs ka makkhan, Iyer Bhai Dhakkan. »

Reporting the announcement, Iyer wrote: “How many people will eat and how much food will be available during the match? @hardikpandya7 @ishankishan51 »

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Shreyas Iyer may end up missing the first matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, according to a report in Times of India. The report claimed that the batter’s old back injury flared up again after his 95-run knock for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy final against Vidarbha. In 2023, Iyer underwent surgery due to the same injury and the recent development may rule him out of the first matches of IPL 2024. “It’s not looking good. It’s the same back injury which has worsened. He is unlikely to take the field on day five of the Ranji Trophy final. He may miss the first few matches of the IPL,” a source told Times Of India in the report.

The IPL is a crucial tournament for Iyer after he was left out of the BCCI’s central contract list. KKR will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Kolkata on March 23 in their first match of the competition.

Iyer suffered back spasms during his 95 and had to be checked twice by the Mumbai team physiotherapist. He also did not take the field for Mumbai on Wednesday and the report claims that it is highly unlikely that he will play another role in the Ranji Trophy final.

Iyer had already complained about the injury during the recently concluded Test series against England.

“During the recent Test series against England at home, he had informed the Indian team management about this injury which was troubling him again,” the source said.

However, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) said he had no fresh injury concerns.
