NEW DELHI: With his team in the middle of a disappointing period initial loading season and struggled to make the playoffs, largely due to his inconsistent hitting; Mumbai Indians (MID) spearhead rhythm Jasprit Bumrah took the responsibility upon himself, as he suited up and played big shots in front of the nets ahead of his team's clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) Friday.
The team's inconsistent batting performances were a major factor in their disappointing campaign. Preparing for the upcoming match against DC, Bumrah geared up and showed his batting skills during the net practice session.

MI's official account (formerly Twitter) shared a video showcasing Bumrah's batting practice in the nets, highlighting his efforts in contributing to the team's performance. Posting Bumrah's video on social media, MI wrote, “Aj beating tera Jassi bhai karega!”


The clash between MI and DC is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. DC currently sits in sixth position in the points standings, having won four and suffered five defeats, accumulating a total of eight points.
They emerged victorious in their previous encounter against Gujarat Titans by a narrow margin of four runs. MI, meanwhile, find themselves in eighth place with three wins and five losses, totaling six points. Mumbai suffered a defeat in their last match against Rajasthan Royals by a significant margin of nine wickets.
Throughout the current season, Bumrah has been in impressive form with the ball, taking 13 wickets at an average of 15.69 and maintaining an economy rate of 6.37. His best bowling figures stand at 5/21. Currently he holds the 'Purple cap' for being the highest wicket-taker of the tournament.
