Arsenal press conference LIVE: Mikel Arteta on Man United victory, title race and Saka injury

Mikel Arteta is set to face the press following Arsenal's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Gunners got off to a good start in the match with Bukayo Saka coming close. United, however, progressed in the match and threatened David Raya's goal thanks to the efforts of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.

It was Arsenal who broke the deadlock when Kai Havertz was played in by Ben White. The German appeared to be offside but was played in by a lackluster Casemiro and managed to square off for Leandro Trossard to head home.

After that, the game took a slow pace and lacked any real quality. There were chances. United came close to Garnacho on several occasions, but it wasn't until the 69th minute that they registered a first shot on target.

Arsenal defended for the most part, but posed a threat on the counter through substitute Gabriel Martinelli, while Declan Rice also went close.

Ultimately, Arsenal managed to hold on for a victory that ensures the Premier League title race continues until the final day of the season.

Arteta wonders if he will be a Tottenham fan on Tuesday

We know we need it. They are a really difficult team to face. We suffered it a few weeks ago when we played them. So I hope they can do it.

Arteta asks if there is pressure on City

I don't know. That's a question for them. We have to do our job and wait.

Arteta on the pressure of having to win every week

I think winning encourages you to win more and be better equipped and better prepared. It's 27 victories in the Premier League, it's the record in the history of this club. This is not progress, it is history.

All eyes on Spurs

Kai Havertz on Sky Sports:

“I’m going to become the biggest Tottenham fan ever!”

Player Ratings

A huge victory but not a great demonstration of #AFC. Saliba stood out, while Gabriel and Havertz were good. Another key goal from Trossard as well. Partey is far from his best, but winning is all that matters.
