'Baby is on the way': MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi makes special request to CSK

Chennai Super Kings crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 78 runs in an IPL 2024 clash on Sunday evening. As CSK secured their fifth win in nine attempts, this helped them move up to third place in the table.

Among the enthusiastic fans present at the Chepauk Stadium was legendary cricketer MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi, who was also eager to see the team win quickly.

Sakshi is a regular at CSK matches.

This time, while cheering from the Chepauk stands, Sakshi – in her own witty style – asked the team to wrap up the match quickly because “a baby was on the way”.

Sakshi revealed that she is about to become an aunt.

“Please finish the game quickly today @chennaiipl baby is on the way…contractions have started. Request for – to be “Bua”! she wrote on her Instagram story.

Even though Sakshi was eager to see the team win, her stunned reaction to Dhoni's boundary also went viral. The former CSK captain came in at No.5 and opened his account with a boundary, leaving the viewers super excited.

Chennai's latest win against Hyderabad also marks Dhoni's 150th IPL victory as a player.

In a bid to recover from previous defeats, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led team gave their all against SRH in Chennai, orchestrating a major victory.

Captain Ruturaj scored 98 runs in 54 deliveries, missing out on his hundred by just two runs.

He received strong support from New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, who scored 52 runs from 32 balls, followed by Shivam Dube, who remained unbeaten on 39 runs from 20 balls.
