Harry Kane was well known for being susceptible to occasional ankle injuries during his time at Tottenham. Although his injury problems seemingly slowed down as the player got older, it remained a concern for many. Bayern Munich fans had in mind when the player moved to Munich.
During Bayern’s 5-2 win over relegation candidates Darmstadt, Harry Kane’s demons came back to haunt him as he re-injured his ankle in a collision with the goal frame , thus breaking the net.
After the match, Az journalist Patrick Strasser (via @iMiaSanMia) echoed Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund regarding Kane’s injury: “We hope it’s not that serious. It was replaced as a precautionary measure. He will not take any risks with the national team.
Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel also spoke about the injury (via @iMiaSanMia) explaining: “He collided with the pole and twisted his ankle a little – his ankle was frozen. There is still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad.
Hopefully Kane is fit in time for the Dortmund game on March 30 after the international break. Otherwise, Mathys Tel or Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will probably be in the lead.
