India vs Germany, Hockey FIH Pro League Live Updates: The Indian men's and women's hockey teams will be back in action on Saturday, as they wrap up this season's FIH Pro League campaigns with the London leg. Next week, they will face Germany and Great Britain in two matches each.

On Saturday, the men's hockey team will face reigning world champions Germany, followed later in the evening when the women's teams face off.

Harmanpreet Singh's men are in the final stages of their preparation for Paris 2024, and these four matches in London will likely decide the final team that makes it to the Olympics. For Salima Tete's men, the aim will be to avoid relegation from the Pro League as they rebuild after the disappointment of failing to qualify for Paris.

In the recently concluded Antwerp match, the Indian men started with a 2-2 draw (5-4 win for bonus on penalties) against Argentina, followed by a 1-4 defeat against Belgium. In the second legs, they drew 2-2 (losing 1-3 on penalties) against Belgium before beating Argentina in a thrilling match which ended 5-4. The Indians, however, lost all four of their matches and failed to score a goal despite some encouraging signs under new coach Harendra Singh.

“We played intense matches against Argentina and Belgium in Antwerp, both in the same group as us at the Paris 2024 Olympics. We played scintillating hockey at times while we struggled at others. others, but the team is constantly improving,” Harmanpreet Singh was quoted as saying by Hockey India.
