Following Lucknow Super Giants' crushing defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad, owner of the Lucknow-based unit, Sanjiv Goenka was seen having a rather heated discussion with skipper KL Rahul which fueled many rumors about the social networks.

Reports had also surfaced suggesting that the all-format batter might be relieved of duty and not be retained for the upcoming season, which added fuel to the fire.

Amid talk of unrest within the LSG camp, assistant coach Lance Klusner shared his thoughts on the peculiar moment ahead of their next match against Delhi Capitals.

The former South Africa international had an interesting take on the conversation between the two. He was quoted by PTI in the pre-match press conference as saying, “I don't see any problem in a heated discussion between two cricket lovers. For us, it is a storm in a teacup. It doesn't matter to us.”

With the assistant coach shutting down rumors suggesting a rift between the pair, LSG's task is now clear. Win their remaining two games and hope that the other teams vying for a playoff spot give them favorable results so that they qualify for the playoffs for the third straight season.

However, the match against Delhi Capitals will not be easy. The Delhi-based outfit are hurt following their crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru last night. Rishabh Pant, returning to the team after serving his one-match suspension, will look to come back stronger and help close out the league stages of the tournament on a positive note.

With a low net run rate and instability in both batting and bowling, KL Rahul's LSG will have to come forward if they want to win both points tomorrow. The absence of Mayank Yadav, who has been ruled out due to injury, means the team does not have a suitable threat to take the wicket. With the bat, KL Rahul has struggled to find support from his opening partner and might look to make some changes to ensure runs can happen with the bat.
