Being an RCB fan can be extremely difficult at times as they have already spent the last 16 years trying to achieve the elusive title of glory at least once. The same goal will be on display once again when they take the field on March 22 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

So how will they accomplish this miraculous task? They have a strong batting unit that can tear apart any opposition, but they don’t have a reliable bowling attack to support them decently. Here in this article, we will analyze what would be their ideal playing XI, which can keep the balance intact and make them an ideal formation for title contenders with limited options.

There is no doubt that Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, who batted extremely well in IPL 2023, will keep their places at the top. Now comes the tricky part: they have to try the in-form Anuj Rawat, and the forgotten hero Rajat Patidar has to follow them.

These moves can keep Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell impactful at numbers 5 and 6. Dinesh Karthik, who has not looked in the best form in RCB training of late, is expected to start as the main wicketkeeper and will come to No.7.

Mohammed Siraj, Alzarri Joseph and Vijaykumar Vyshak should make up their fast bowling trio, while Karn Sharma should be their only designated player in the playing XI. Of course, Maxwell will be there to wrap his arms around him, while Mahipal Lomror or Suyash Prabhudssais will come in to replace Siraj.

It is important to note that given that RCB have always been a top team, which has hurt them immensely over the years, Green and Maxwell, Kohli’s accomplice, is expected to come in at No. 5 and No. 6, and give a chance to Rawat, who has been in sublime form in the DY Patil tournament of late. Additionally, you should keep faith in Patidar, who performed well in the early stages of RCB. Now, only time will tell what the RCB formula will be.
