Live Score of India vs USA, T20 World Cup 2024 Match Today: Rohit Sharma's India will take on Monank Patel's United States in Match 25 of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match on the back of inspired performances against Pakistan and an away win to advance to the Super Eight round.

USA's victory against Pakistan in the Super Over in Dallas was arguably the result of the group stage so far. The Monank Patel-led team looked tactically sound and competent enough to upset the big boys as they have already shown. Even if India is not as dynamic as Pakistan, the United States, with momentum on its side, could be heading down a slippery slope.

With Jasprit Bumrah in the form of his life, the bowling seems set for The Men in Blue. They successfully defended 119 runs in the last match against Pakistan. However, the question remains about the team's middle-order hitter. The pitches have been tough to face but before heading into the Super 8, India will be hoping for a strong middle-order performance to boost their confidence.

Five years ago, while watching Jasprit Bumrah wreak havoc in the Caribbean, West Indian rhythm legend Curtly Ambrose was moved enough to purr about the most admirable side of the Indian craft. “The way he outplays batsmen, outclasses them,” before adding, “he could have been one of us, he’s such a complete bowler, he could have played in any era.”

Five years later, after sticking the knife in the Pakistanis and turning a World T20 match into a minute in New York, Bumrah would echo his singular bowling trait: “I'm trying to solve the problem that's there in front of me. I know his cliché answer, but I was trying to focus on the best options here on a wicket like this… I'm not looking at whether I'm playing to the best of my ability. (Read more about Sriram Veera)
