Manchester United 'considering a move' for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah is one of several local players on the outgoing transfer list for this summer, although in his case there is quite a bit of controversy over the club's intentions.

The 24-year-old's post-Academy career trajectory has been defined by constant departure rumors, although he has proven them wrong so far by making 80 first-team appearances over the past three years. This season, he overcame a long-term injury to start 13 of our last 16 games, including the final six games in a row that made for such a promising end to the campaign.

But now those rumors are back, and perhaps stronger than ever, thanks to our previously reported asking price of just £25 million. Among those interested in this development are Manchester Unitedwhich are apparently “considering a move” to help strengthen their defense, particularly following the departure of veteran Raphaël Varane.

If there's one thing that would make Chalobah's departure even more controversial, it's if he ended up with one of our rivals. Ugh.
