Veteran Bangladeshi cricketer Mushfiqur RahimThe broken helmet celebration after the ODI series win against Sri Lanka added another chapter in the rivalry of the two cricketing nations. The celebration was in reference to the time-out of Sri Lanka’s Angelo Matthews due to a helmet problem when the two teams clashed in the 2023 Cricket World Cup. It was also a response to the cricketers of the Sri Lanka celebrating their T20I series win against Bangladesh with a timeless celebration. The video of the celebration went viral on social media and several users commented on the gesture.

Rishad Hossain played an offensive round of 48 after the substitution Tanzid Hassan Tamim hit 84 off 81 balls on Monday, leading Bangladesh to a four-wicket victory and a 2-1 ODI series win over Sri Lanka.
