IPL RANKING: Points table | Orange Cap | Purple cap

“In my entire IPL career as captain, only one player gave me sleepless nights, and that was Rohit Sharma. The only batsman I feared in IPL was Rohit Sharma.

No Chris Gayle, no AB de Villiers, only Rohit Sharma because I knew I had to have a plan A, a plan B and probably also a plan C,” Gambhir said on Star Sports.
“If Rohit is there, I think no one can control him. I have never planned any other batting in the IPL except Rohit Sharma.”

KKR won the IPL under Gambhir's leadership in 2012 and 2014.
“There were times when I saw the visuals and I said 'that's right, plan A is good'. But with Rohit Sharma, probably a night before (the match), I thought if it doesn't didn't work, I have to adopt the other plan; if Sunil (Narine) wants to play his four overs, all of whom will play the remaining 16 and if I finish Sunil (overs) early and Rohit is (still) there, he can also hitting 30 (runs) from an over.
Rohit, who was replaced as Mumbai Indians captain by Hardik Pandya before the start of this IPL season, led MI to five IPL titles.
