Pakistani cricketers including Babar Azam to holiday in London after T20 World Cup debacle: report | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: After their terrible T20 World Cup campaign, Pakistanthe captain Babar Azam and five other players – Mohamed AmirImad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shadab KhanAnd Azam Khan – chose to spend their vacation in London before returning home.
According to a report in The Express Tribune, along with the rest of the team, the six players will not arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday.The players mentioned above plan to visit London to spend time with friends and family. Additionally, some are considering participating in local UK leagues.
Pakistan's dreadful performance in Group A of the T20 World Cup came to an end on Sunday when they beat Ireland by a slim margin of three wickets in their final match.
Coach's Assistant Azhar Mahmood and head coach Gary Kirsten will return home in the meantime. The report further stated that the Pakistani cricket Board (PCB) has allowed the coaching team to return to their home countries as they have no upcoming commitments.
Pakistan finished third in their group and missed out on a place in the Super Eight, with India and the United States securing their places after finishing first and second, despite taking four points from as many matches.
Before defeating Canada by seven wickets, they were defeated by arch-rivals India and co-hosts USA.
The two-match home Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is scheduled for August. In October, England are scheduled to tour Pakistan.
