Robert Lewandowski reveals what changed at Barcelona after Napoli and Atletico wins

Robert Lewandowski has spoken about Barcelona’s upturn in form and attributed it to a change in intensity in training.

The striker scored and registered two assists on Sunday evening as Barca followed up with a good Champions League victory against Napoli. by beating Atletico Madrid.

Speaking after the match, Lewandowsi was asked what has changed at Barca recently to improve performances and results.

Here’s what he had to say:

” What changed ? I think the training is a little different, more intense at the moment, and we are better prepared physically,” he said.

“I feel better too and I think my teammates do too. We have to continue like this after the break. It’s time to take a step forward.

Lewandowski also explained how he had to help the team’s younger players, with Hector Fort, Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado all in attendance on Sunday.

“I know I have to help and support the young players, but I also need them to help me by passing the ball or sending in crosses,” he added.

“The most important thing is to continue playing like today. We know how we can play, we have great potential with great players. A great team mixing young and older players.

The Barcelona striker is now expected to join the Polish striker during the international break. His team is set to face Estonia in the Euro 2024 play-offs.
