Ahead of the much-awaited tournament, the BCCI unveiled the new T20I kit at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the presence of Rohit and board secretary Jay Shah.

The Indian cricket team will soon assemble for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which begins next month in West Indies and USA. The selectors have announced the names of the players who will fly to the West to participate in the flagship event. Rohit Sharma & Co will open their campaign against Ireland, but fans are eagerly awaiting the most electrifying clash of the tournament: the India vs Pakistan match, scheduled for June 9 in Nassau County, New York.

Ahead of the much-awaited tournament, the BCCI unveiled the new T20I kit at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the presence of Rohit and board secretary Jay Shah. The Indian skipper arrived at the event wearing the new white polo shirt with black stripes on the shoulders which is likely to be the team's travel kit for the upcoming tournament.

The skipper then took a look at the new blue colored training kit, which also featured shades of yellow and black, before unveiling the team jersey.

“It’s time to welcome our team in new colors. Introducing the new T20I jersey #TeamIndia with our honorary secretary @JayShah, captain @ImRo45 and official kit partner @adidas,” BCCI posted on X.

Last week, Adidas shared the launch video of the new T20I kit on social media. Skipper Rohit and his teammates also featured in the video while present at the picturesque HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.

The new T20 jersey is the upgrade to the blue jersey that players have been wearing in the shortest format since Adidas partnered with the BCCI. The latest is a mix of India's training and match kits, featuring shades of saffron and blue as well as the BCCI crest on the chest.
