NEW DELHI: A video featuring Mumbai Indians' star batsman Rohit Sharma conversation with KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar grabbed attention before the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians in the Gardens of Eden.
Rohit, in the video, despite loud noise in the background, was heard saying, “Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai… Woh unke upar hai… Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na. “I made it.” The last audible line of the conversation was: “Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai.”
Rohit's dialogue sparked various reactions on social media with many fans getting emotional over speculations that the IPL2024 could mark Rohit's final season. Just ahead of the 2024 edition, Mumbai Indians announced Hardik Pandya as the new captain, replacing Rohit who guided MI to five title wins.
Following the video going viral, Rohit encountered a similar incident just before the match against Lucknow Super Giants.

Rohit was captured in conversation with a former MI pacer Dhawal Kulkarni.
When Rohit noticed that someone was recording his video, Rohit folded his hands, asked and said, “Bhai, karo haan audio group. Kasam se, ek audio ne mera waat laga diya hai.”

Mumbai Indians are currently at the bottom of the points table.
The five-time champions have won only 4 matches in 13 matches in the tournament so far.
