“Rohit Sharma said we need Virat Kohli at all costs for T20 World Cup” | Cricket News

The report of Virat Kohlipossible omission of India T20 World Cup The team spread like wildfire after it was first reported by The Telegraph earlier this week, but one final message from the former India all-rounder Kirti Azad refutes all these claims since the 1983 World Cup winner declares that the captain Rohit Sharma said BCCI secretary Jay Shah said teams needed Kohli “at all costs”.
The report on Kohli’s exclusion was based on sources telling the Telegraph that the BCCI Selectors I think Kohli has not been at his best in the T20 format.

The T20 World Cup will begin soon after the IPL ends. The first T20I tournament will be jointly hosted by West Indies and USA from June 2 to 29. India have not won an ICC tournament since winning the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Refuting claims regarding Kohli’s possible omission from the T20 World Cup, Azad wrote a post on microblogging site ‘X’, saying “idiots should not get involved in the selection process” without giving name.
He said that the chief selector and former Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar was given “a deadline until March 15”, but “if sources are to be believed, Ajit Agarkar has not been able to convince himself or the other selectors”.

Interestingly, Azad wrote that Rohit gave his opinion to Shah unequivocally and wanted Kohli in the team.
“Jay Shah also asked Rohit Sharma, but Rohit said we need Virat Kohli at all costs. Virat Kohli will play T20 World Cup and his official announcement will be made before team selection,” wrote Azad.
Kohli took a break from the five-Test home Test series against England for the birth of his second child and will next be seen in action for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL starting March 22.
