NEW DELHI: Indian captain Rohit Sharma continued where he left off, leading his team forward with another brilliant strike against England in the T20 World Cup semi-final in Guyana on Thursday.
After playing a match-winning knock of 92 off just 41 balls against Australia, Rohit rose to the occasion again after losing. Virat Kohli early and scored 57 off 39 balls to keep India on course for a solid total.
Rohit’s innings included 6 fours and 2 sixes which saw him enter the record books of T20 World Cup history.
With his impressive display of hitting power, Rohit achieved a milestone by becoming the second batsman, after the iconic West Indian player Chris Gaylewho amassed 63 sixes, to reach the milestone of 50 sixes in T20 World Cups.

Previously England captain Jos Butler won the toss and elected to play in the defending champions’ rain-delayed semi-final. The match witnessed another rain interruption when India were 65/2 in 8 overs.
