Legendary West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine made history on Sunday (May 26) by becoming the first player to win three IPL titles with Kolkata Knight Riders. The 36-year-old cricketer, who was KKR's top scorer this year, has been associated with the franchise since 2012 and was also part of the IPL winning teams in 2012 and 2014.

Legendary West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine created history on Sunday (May 26) by becoming the first player in the world to win three IPL trophies with the Horsemen Knights of Calcutta. Narine, who celebrated her 36th birthday on the evening of IPL2024 final, has been associated with the Knight Riders since the 2012 season. He won two titles under Gautam Gambhirin 2012 and 2014 and third in 2024, when Shreyas Iyer led the team. He was the only player from KKR's 2012 IPL winning team to play the 2024 season for the franchise.

Manish Pandey and Andrew Russell were part of KKR's IPL-winning team in 2014, along with Narine, and they also won the title in 2024. In the list of players who won two IPL titles with KKR, the star trio is joined by Gautam Gambhir, Ryan Ten Doeschate, Manvinder Bisla, Debabrata Das, Jacques Kallis, Yusuf Pathan and Shakib Al Hasan.

Narine, who will not be seen in action in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup due to his retirement from international cricket, was on fire for the franchise in the 2024 edition of the cash-rich league. In 14 matches, he has scored 488 runs, which is the most of any player in the franchise this year, and on top of that, he has also picked up 17 wickets.
