A hilarious video has gone viral on social media, showing a player’s blunder during a cricket match. The video was from the European Cricket League match between Independent Cricket Club and Donaustadt. Electing to bat first, Donaustad posted 147/4 in 10 overs. Later, they restricted Independent CC to 133/5 and won by 14 runs. However, a hilarious mistake by a Donaustad defender, who gifted a boundary to the rivals, became the highlight of the match.

The incident took place during the first over of the Independent’s chase after a bowler bowled a wide ball, which went between the wicketkeeper’s legs, but a fielder tried his best and l ‘stopped just before the demarcation line. “The craziest piece of cricket,” said the commentator.

In doing so, he even crossed billboards placed outside the boundaries. However, all his efforts were in vain as just as he stood up and collected the ball, he collided with the wicketkeeper. As a result, the ball fell from the hands of the defensive player and crossed the boundary line.

Talking about cricket, the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 22 with Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore clashing in the opening match.

According to a report from Times of Indiaa few BCCI officials are in the UAE to explore the possibility of moving the second half of the IPL to the Gulf country.

The decision could be taken as the general election dates could clash with the second half of the IPL. The Electoral Commission is expected to announce the election date on Saturday March 16.

“The Election Commission of India will announce the election schedule on Saturday at 3 p.m. After that, the BCCI will decide whether to shift it to Dubai. Currently, a few senior BCCI officials are in Dubai to explore the possibility of holding the second half .of the IPL in Dubai,” TOI quoted a BCCI official as saying.
