Thomas and Uber Cup 2024, India vs Thailand (Thomas Cup) Live Updates: The Indian men's team, the reigning world champions, will begin their Thomas Cup campaign against Thailand in Chengdu in the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals. HS Prannoy, Satwik-Chirag, Srikanth Kidambi and Lakshya Sen made history in Bangkok as India won the Thomas Cup for the first time in history. And they will all be in action against Thailand in their first Group C match.

Prannoy, a bronze medalist at the 2023 World Championships, lost in the opening match to Kunlavut Vitidsarn. But Satwik-Chirag brought India level with a thumping victory to make it 1-1.

Earlier in the day, Ashmita Chaliha bowled out top-ranked Michelle Li to give India a superb start in a crucial Uber Cup Group A match in Chengdu on Saturday, as they won 4- 1. Thomas Cup action for India will follow shortly, where HS Prannoy, Satwik-Chirag and Co India take on Thailand. Priya Konjengbam – National doubles champion Shruti Mishra then gave India a 2-0 lead. Isharani Baruah then clinched the tie for India by defeating higher-ranked Wen Yu Zhang. Then national champion Anmol Kharb, who was the star performer for India en route to their maiden title at the Asian Team Championships, also scored a solid victory to seal the tie 4-1.
