NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians On Tuesday, they suffered their seventh defeat, their third defeat in a row, in IPL2024 when the team led by Hardik Pandya played against KL RahulLucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The defeat significantly reduced the five-time champions' chances of reaching the top four, as they now sit ninth in the standings with just 6 points.
After the match, a former Indian cricketer criticized Hardik Pandyastating that the new captain's many mistakes cost the team dearly in IPL 2024.

“The Mumbai Indians team that qualified last year did not have Jasprit Bumrah but this season they had his services. They are still in this situation. Quite simply because the team was not well managed on the pitch. Too many errors from their captain Hardik Pandya. This is the truth,” Irfan posted on his social media account.

Pandya, who took over as captain of Rohit Sharma this season, has come under scrutiny due to Mumbai Indians' troubled IPL 2024 campaign.
Hardik was booed at several IPL 2024 venues, including Wankhede Stadium, the home ground of Mumbai Indians.
His performance with bat and ball has been disappointing this season.
On Tuesday against LSG, Pandya was sent off for a golden duck. In 10 matches, he managed to score only 197 runs at an average of 21.88 and took only 6 wickets.
