Bangladesh opening batter Litton Das was visibly frustrated during his decisive innings against Afghanistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup in St Vincent.

Chasing 116 for a win and facing multiple permutations and combinations, the dashing keeper-batsman kept Bangladesh’s run chase alive for much of the innings amid shaky wickets at the other end.

Apart from facing a raging group of Afghan bowlers, Litton Das apparently also had to deal with some hilarious ‘delayed strategy’ from Vice Gulbadin on the verge of a rain break.

Litton Das frustrated by Gulbadin Naib’s ‘air’ injury

Afghanistan cricketer Gulbadin Naib complained of a hamstring injury while standing, just moments after receiving a signal from head coach Jonathan Trott from the dressing room.

The former England cricketer, who signaled to the Afghan players to slow down proceedings in order to keep Bangladesh on score in the DLS, prompted Naib to waste a few precious minutes amid a light drizzle in St. Vincent.

As expected, the move left Bangladesh’s well-placed opening batter Litton Das visibly frustrated. The keeper-batsman even imitated Naib’s actions after the latter left and covers enveloped the ground.

This is a must-win match for both teams in terms of their potential place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. Moreover, a victory for Bangladesh, in terms of margin, even holds significant importance for the Australian cricket team.
