Xavi adds two people to his backroom staff in attempt to ease Barcelona's injury problems

Xavi set to add two new members to his coaching staff after decide to stay in Barcelona and discover his contract which runs until 2025.

The Barcelona boss will make changes to his squad, adding Julio Tous and Raúl Martínez to his backroom squad, according to multiple reports.

All returns to the club for a second stay and will join it as a physical strength coach. He previously worked at Chelsea under Antonio Conte and is highly regarded within the profession.

Diario Sport claims that Tous is “a specialist in strength work and injury prevention” and says he is responsible for “optimizing players' performances as much as possible”.

Martinez is the second addition who will now be Barca's new coordinator of physiotherapists and masseuses.

The changes come during a season where Barcelona have once again been hit hard by injury problems to key players.

Gavi And Alexandre Baldé are currently the most notable long-term absentees, but Barca have lost numerous players for significant periods during the campaign.

Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen and Marc-André ter Stegen have all spent large parts of the season on the sidelines due to injuries, which has been a real source of frustration for the club and his supporters.
